About Amagreenzone
& what we do
in the midst of the Amazon rainforest

Amagreenzone is a nonprofit organization, founded at the end of 2021. Our mission is to save areas of the Amazon Rainforest from destruction and pollution while also enhancing the standard of living of indigenous communities.
Our working area is in San Martin, Peru. San Martin is located in the high Amazon rainforest. This region is unquestionably one of the most beautiful in the world, with its stunning landscapes and rich wildlife.
Tragically, deforestation has had a major impact on the San Martin region. This has had a devastating effect on nature, climate, animals, and, inevitably, humans. Things are moving in the right direction, but there is still a lot of work to be done to restore the Amazon rainforest to its former glory. Peru also has a significant waste disposal problem, which has a severe influence on the environment. We see this situation daily because we live in San Martin. Plastic bottles and other waste litter the riverbanks, streets, and forests. When the modern world made its appearance in the area, the changes came too quickly for the local people. People who had previously made a living on what nature provided began to consume, which led to the current waste problem. The current facilities are insufficient to handle the high volume of waste.
We at Amagreenzone want to respond to the destruction and pollution of the Amazon rainforest with various projects. We intend to plant and protect trees in deforested areas which will eventually grow into a flourishing rainforest. We also aim to acquire existing rainforests to preserve them. Furthermore, we’ll involve and educate local people about sustainably protecting the Amazon rainforest for now and future generations
Amagreenzone's Social Engagement
Peru is rich in culture and natural assets but faces significant issues such as poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation. In recent years, an increasing number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have arisen in Peru, seeking to address these issues and improve the lives of locals. We at Amagreenzone are pleased to have joined. Our objective is to encourage sustainable development and environmental conservation through community-based programs that empower residents. Our social engagement focuses on educational and environmental conservation projects for marginalized groups. These projects are often carried out in collaboration with local communities, using a participatory strategy that aims to involve locals at all phases of the project cycle.
The importance of social projects in Peru cannot be overstated. Poverty and inequality remain major challenges in the country, particularly in rural areas where access to basic services such as healthcare, electricity, and education is limited. In addition, Peru is home to some of the world’s most biodiverse and fragile ecosystems, which are threatened by activities like deforestation, mining, and oil production. Addressing these issues requires an organized and joint effort by the government, nonprofit organizations, and local communities. NGOs such as Amagreenzone play an important part in this effort by bringing much-needed resources, knowledge, and innovation to the table.
Despite the many challenges we face, Amagreenzone remains committed to our mission of empowering local communities and improving their quality of life. Our work is important for developing a more just, fair, and sustainable society, and it shows how the nonprofit sector can play a transformative role in solving today’s most pressing challenges.
