OUR COMMITMENT: TAKING ACTION FOR THE AMAZON RAINFOREST, WHICH IS UNDER THREAT!

Amagreenzone is a non-profit organization founded in 2021 with a mission to save the Amazon Rainforest and improve the standard of living for indigenous communities in San Martín , Peru by doing social projects. Deforestation and waste disposal are significant problems in the region. We plant trees, protect existing rainforests, and educate and help the locals on sustainable practices.

Three pilars standing in the Amazon rainforest in Peru

The Amazon rainforest is one of the most important ecosystems on the planet, providing a home to thousands of species of plants, animals, and organisms. They all play a crucial role in regulating the Earth’s climate, storing carbon and producing oxygen. Read here about our three pillars, and we hope we can inspire you to join our quest. to protect and conserve this invaluable natural treasure.

the three pillars

Amagreenzone’s Social Projects are dedicated to improving education and preserving the environment for underserved communities in need in San Martin, Peru. We want to collaborate closely with locals in a participatory approach throughout every stage of the project cycle to ensure their active involvement. In Peru, poverty and inequality are major issues, especially in rural areas where basic services are scarce. Additionally, deforestation and industrial activities pose threats to the country’s delicate balance of the country´s ecosystem. By prioritizing community engagement, Amagreenzone´s Social Projects strives to address these multifaceted issues, working hand in hand with residents to promote long-term positive change and resilience in San Martin and beyond.

Amagreenzone’s reforestation projects include areas in San Martin, Peru, that have been cleared of trees for the purpose of ranching or logging and other causes. We want to plant trees to restore the rainforest to its former state. We will plant many species of trees that occur naturally in this area.  One of the goals that Amagreenzone wants to achieve with reforestation is to remove carbon from the atmosphere but also to prevent soil erosion and restore the habitat of flora and fauna. Reforestation does not stop at planting trees. The new forest needs ongoing care and we want to involve the local population. In this way, we can guarantee the longevity of our efforts and at the same time improve the lives of residents by creating jobs and a better quality of life.

Amagreenzone’s protection projects aim to protect existing rainforests. We want to take active measures to prevent or minimize activities that damage ecosystems. Protecting rainforests can include preventing illegal logging, guarding trees and plants, promoting a clean forest, protecting flora and fauna that inhabit these areas, and preventing forest fires. The goal of Amagreenzone’s protection projects is to prevent environmental damage and safeguard the health of the ecosystems that are important for local people and ultimately the entire world. By protecting the living organisms that live in these delicate ecosystems, we can work to maintain the delicate balance of nature and preserve these habitats for future generations and the entire world.

What would happen if the Amazone Rainforest disappeared?

The Amazon Rainforest, the largest deforestation front in the world, is currently facing a terrifying fate. With 25 different fronts located in developing nations, each one struggling to exploit natural resources for development, the situation is dire. Nearly 20% of the Amazon has already been obliterated, and experts predict that this will increase to 27% by the year 2030. But what if the destruction was total and the entire rainforest was lost to human greed?

We are proud to launch our first project
